Nap Time for Metro Worker

We found this funny picture when searching Flickr. According to the author:

5:50 pm on Labor Day 9-3-2007, I was walking along Fort Drive next to Wilson High School when I noticed an idling WMATA vehicle. The idling seemed odd since there were no WMATA personnel visible in the area. I lloked through the passenger side window and saw the pictured individual lying on his side.

DC license plate: C 64927

Marking on driver's side: SMNT 14552
It's a little hard to make out, but you can clearly see an elbow of a slumbering WMATA employee (or their friend).

  1. This is pretty common as a number of Metro Employees have more then one job, or do an obscene amount of overtime. Reporting this means nothing, as nothing will be done period. What happens is many say they have a real job then metro job where they go off and sleep. On many occasions I and others have come across employees sleeping and they don't so much as stir!
