As if things on the Red Line needed extra potential problems this morning.
@EvanMGlass While waiting for inbound train at RI Ave, man walks across track. Metro employee sees and calls him over. #wm http://tweetphoto.com/9641505
According to @EvanMGlass, one train had been offloaded, this guy then hopped on the tracks, got yelled at by the WMATA employee seen here, hopped back up on the platform a minute before a train arrived.
Talk about dumb.
Was he arrested for trespassing and nearly inconveniencing another side of the Red Line?
ReplyDeleteIf you can dodge the occasional train, it might be faster to get to work that way.
ReplyDeleteJust when I'm convinced that WMATA is the dumbest thing on rails here in DC, I see something like this, which makes me realize it's a close race.
ReplyDeleteHe's just looking to win a Darwin Award!
ReplyDeleteHe was walking on the tracks because it's less dangerous there... no really, RI ave metro seems to wash their platform with soap or something at night so actually walking on the platform is slippery as hell.
ReplyDeleteYou're going to see a lot more of this with those dime farehikes! Well, that's what Jim Graham said anyway.
ReplyDeletePEOPLE! Quit jumping in front of trains!!!
ReplyDeleteBeware of the WMONSTER
