Red Line rider Mike first informed us in May about Metro employees parking all day in the Kiss & Ride spots at Takoma station, and for a time, it appeared Metro was enforcing its own rules. No longer, apparently. These photos were taken on July 6, according to Mike. Obviously, this is a less egregious offense than texting while driving a train, but we think this, too, speaks to what seems to be underlying laxity about rules at Metro.
You know, this should be "low-hanging fruit" for Metro. Taking care of its employees' actions -- the whole "practice what you preach" thing -- is such a basic component of customer service. Sadly, though, I seriously doubt Metro has customer service anywhere near the top of their priority list.
Which is sad, because when the sh-t hits the fan, like it did with the Red Line accident, one of the easiest ways to manage things is through happy customers, and customers are more willing to bear with you when you're, you know, being civil, informing them and playing by your own rules.
I AM SO TRIED OF WATCHING THOSE FAKE A@# HANDICAPPED DRIVERS HOP OUT OF THEIR CARS AND WALK NORMALLY INTO THE STATION. THIS HAS GOT TO STOP! THE METRO POLICE NEED TO CHECK PLATES, TO SEE WHETHER THEY ARE REGISTERED HOLDERS OF THOSE LITTLE BLUE TAGS HANGING FROM THE MIRRORS.

Same problem at King St. Station. I sent in a pic of it a few weeks ago, but I think it got lost in the crash.
ReplyDeleteWhat was that Alert from Metro about Major delays at Falls Church cleared four minutes later? That's not "major delays"!
ReplyDeleteMetro (and John Catoe) you suck!
