Metro's biggest problem is in the management. They just spend whatever they have and don't think about tomorrow. Just look how many people they have hired last year. That makes Metro the most inefficient organization. They even hire high level managers just to pave a piece of concrete sidewalk. Every office uses Dulles line as an excuse hiring friends, and pay them a lot of money. Actually, Metro's salary is the highest in the transit industry, compaing to other big transit agencies. Sooner or later, Metro will have to layoff a lot of people. Of course, they will layoff poor people firest. Big guys always protected.

Depending where you work in P City the 42 Art bus might be a better option for you. It drops off on Army Navy drive both ways and you pick it up right across from the Clarendon Metro.

Welcome back Unsuck! I was beginning to worry that the incompetence of Sarles, Stessel, and Co. had finally pushed you over the edge. Looking forward to another year from the a true critic of metro and the lead voice in trying to make a difference and make things better.

After four years (FOUR MORE YEARS! & then some!), it's doubtful that UnSuck will abandon us now. Besides, he and Kytja are the only one that really report on WMATA & Metro though I have to confess, I read UnSuck's blog & Twitter feed more than I read Kytja's articles. I don't have anything against the Examiner, it's just I tend to think about this site more than looking for her articles even though he posts them here (Don't even get me started on the number of times I've launched an internet window & came to this blog when I really meant to go to another site. LOL!)

Reminds me of the theft awareness posters in Metro which show a white guy stealing a black women's phone. I"m sure that happens all the time.

Wow! he probably was a bus driver for a year. I heard they have a freez on hiring drivers.Unsuck have you heard?
