2010 Unsuck DC Metro Holiday Gift Guide

Black Friday and Cyber Monday have come and gone, but it's not too late to give the gift of Metro. Here are but a few suggestions.

Since the economy's so bad, and fares are up, you might just want to express how you feel about that special someone by sending them Metro gift certificates. Yes, they really do have them. Tell her you care; send her Metro.

Or...

Metro shower curtain: Contemplate delays while you get ready to face them. Available at B, B and B.

Yes, you are, and chances are you'll be on the Red Line for a long time, so you might as well be comfortable in this nifty Tee. Get one for all your favorite lines!

Still not sure? Why not try the WMATA online store, where you can find such treasures as DC Transit cuff links ($125), a framed 2005 inauguration memorial farecard for $24 (no fare included) or, for the kids, a Metro Squeeze train toy ($7) so they can see that to which Metro apparently aspires.

The classy PG magnet includes 2 stations in DC, lol. At that rate, they should add all the Green line stations southeast of the Anacostia River...
I think I'm going to send a notice to all my Facebook friends kindly asking them to tell me if they own a Metro thong so I can remove them. I don't want to know anyone who owns one of those.

Love the “Walk Left, Stand Right” tee-shirt though it really should be for the MD, DC, VA tri-state resident. Perhaps they'll let us customize it? LOL!

As for the squeeze toys, they can double as stress-reliever squeeze toys for when you’re stuck on the bus or the train because of numerous delays! LOL!!

How about Metro Ride-On Partner Cologne designed to give you more elbow room with no extra effort!

Metro hankies and breath mints - An unexpected gift for the rider sitting next to you!

Metro's One-n-Only Hearing Aid Gift Cards! Sure to please the loud-music lover on your next train!

oh ideas abound, surely they do...

Metro Steel-heel Hiking boots - for those escalators you just cannot avoid.

Metro's own Disposable Personal Squeegie Pack - For cleaning that seat before you sit. Available in 3, 6 and discount 50 packs! Add $50 peak-of-the-peak postage & shipping to receive the Disposable Instant Dry-Wipes too!

Can I get hired as a Metro PR person? I want some free days off... heh heh
How about a portable bean-bag set, to put on top of the legs of the rider who is taking up 2 seats?
Hey! Did Maryland get custody of Deanwood and Minnesota Avenue? I would rather have had one of the Arlington Orange line stations, if we have a choice... LOL

I wonder if the manufacturers of the magnet will issue a corrected version?

I want that Red Line T-shirt.

Except mine will say, "I'm on the Red Line..." on the front, and on the back: "...and I've been here since last Thursday."
learn english and french please go to frbbc
Didn't want to "rain on your parade" but when I get off Metro I never ever want to think about it again.
Excuse me.
You guys are hilarious! where do you come up with this stuff? Cheers, T.
The Metro thong needs a caption.

"Step back! Legs closing!"
I want buttons that say "Of course I'm late--I take the Red Line."
