Hey anon that excuse is not acceptable any more. The few you are talking about have canopies and should have more frequent assigned maintenance.

We he on his cell phone?

Unlikely Toads. And I sure hope that driver is removed from driving if not the job entire. What an idiot. Knowing the photo is being taken and doing it anyway? Can we spell m-o-r-o-n?

Would LOVE to hear Jeter's comment on this one!

I guess they won't promote people who want to be promoted if they are the wrong nationality?!!??
I guess when you are in the spotlight due to the lack of discipline with electronic devices.
Jackie Jeter and her husband would say you drove him to do it because the public should not be spot lighting our drivers who use cell phones at work.

"You must be believe in slavery...."

----Metro Bus Drivers still using Cell Phones Mr. LaHood. What do you think the public should do? Ride Transit buses with the operators on the phone?

Ok lets just everybody talk on the cell phone Trains and Bus Drivers, comeon!
I agree that there are a few Metro employees who need help in doing a better job (or a pink slip) but I'm afraid this photo is unconvincing. It could have been taken out of context; he could have been excessively goaded, run off the road, etc. It's not even clear to me that this is a Metro bus or driver. (He has a patch on his shirt sleeve but I can't see that it is a Metro emblem and I ride the bus twice a day.)

I agree with much of what I see on Unsuck DC Metro but in fairness this photo appears to be a bit vindictive.

It *does not matter* what the reason, no employee anywhere should so lack in self-restraint. Unprofessional conduct to the max and implies the possibility of a road rage type of person. I agree with vindictive but only speaking of the man in the photo.
Yeah, we've all fipped the bird while dealing with DC drivers, but in uniform representing your employer when your job is to drive? That's just a tad different, I think.

Besides, the pic is funny even if you don't think it reflects on all Metro workers.

Run off the road? By something low enough that someone with a camera has to shoot the picture at an upward angle? What kind of low-slung combat vehicle do you think is plying the streets of Greater Washington, terrorizing 45,000 lb., 40-foot-long busses?

You don't think this is a Metro driver? Are people dressing up in shirts with patches, putting on blue sweater vests, stealing busses, sitting in the driver's seat, and flipping people off again?

Come on, Metro PR message board lurkers! You're not going to spread uncertainty and doubt, unless your posts have a little plausibility.
Could you e-mail that picture to Jackie Jeter with that quote below? I'd LOVE to hear her spin....

I guess when you are in the spotlight due to the lack of discipline with electronic

device use, and supervisors are lax, and customer service reps call center at Metro want to talk you out of filing a complaint there is only one answer

public interest to the rescue!
Yea I can't wait. She treats members who disagree with her in Union meetings similar so she will up hold it watch!
