Well, this is something you can't blame on Metro. I guess the idea of going up one (hopefully running) escalator and down the other didn't occur to her?

Did they test her for drugs?

When she had to climb down into the tracks did she not stop and think why it was so "difficult" to get to the other side?

Or did she see a train coming in a few minutes and didn't want to risk missing it by going the "long way"

She could have thought it was catenary track where you routinely DO cross to the other side (Though I cannot think of it occuring in an underground station; Has anyone?)

but do you actually have to step down into the track well to cross? i seem to recall that the train has steps down and basically the platform is at track level. (and yes it was weird.)
