Thanks :) I was thinkiing something along those lines, that the shirts could be a form of silent protest and solidarity if enough people wear them (or other shirts). Metro needs to hear from it's riders.....

On a related note, last time I argued for more intelligent conversation on this site several of your readers basically told me they weren't interested in that and that I should go to GGW if I wanted serious critical thinking. Your readers might be smart and funny, but it's really only the angry and cynical that come through. (Please publish more of the smart stuff.)

I continue to read the blog because I'm interested in what other people think, but that certainly doesn't require or imply that I agree with them. Most of the time I don't, but some of the time I do (see "Where Have All The Manners Gone?", posted January 24).

Maybe I will "step up" and write a post, but I doubt anyone here wants to hear about how nice my bus driver was this morning or that most of the problems that I see are caused by passengers. I just don't have the constant sense of outrage that I see on this blog.

BTW, I do appreciate that you always publish my comments even though I am pretty much always going against the grain.

Anyway, the invite is always open to all readers to write interesting posts, negative, positive or just plain bizarre. Can't promise they'll all get published, but I'm sure you can figure out a way to write one that will.

I agree with unsuck. This is a freedom we have as citizens in the great US. It is unfortunate that there are so many truths exposed which are not "pretty" and are considered "dysfunctional" to most.

I applaud any effort that could shed light on the repetitive problems of mismanagement of a system awaiting proactive responsive ongoing transformational leadership

We read left to right, so it makes it seem like that's the direction the figure is moving. If you mirror image flipped the escalator so it was going down into the flames, it'd work better.
