Is there something in the air at Bethesda these days?

Like I've said in the past, I think more outrage needs to be expressed towards DAVID LACOSSE, who is the man in charge of elevators and escalators at DC Metro. From the many articles I've read, he's a complete malcontent who refuses to even grant interviews addressing the problem. However, little has been done about this guy, and I think its time to step up the attacks on this worthless POS. Louder calls are needed for this idiots firing!

Well, I suppose it is something diffferent from the same ole trudge. :-)

I do not understand today's news about a "new initiative to overhaul all escalators." What's new about it? They were speaking that and were doing it last year. Ballston was overhauled for months. (Much to my surprise, they stayed on schedule too.) It's not new. Why does Sarles say a "new" initiative? (When did they give up the old one?)
The "big" escalator news was reported on here months ago: http://unsuckdcmetro.blogspot.com/2010/03/big-esc...

Something in the air? More likely something that came out of a beer bottle. Though, I have always thought that those little pegs in the space between escalators just begged to be used as a climbing wall.

I always wanted to let ping-pong balls go down em and see if it looks like a pinball machine in action.
or like Plinko from the price is right!

That looks more tiring than actually climbing the escalator steps.

I'm guessing those pegs are there so that enterprising fools don't try to slide down on their backs, or skateboard.
No Dcist is stealing from this blog?!? I'd expect that from the Post, but dcist? Cmon!

DCist at least credited Unsuck (unlike the Post)
Actually those pegs in the middle of the escalators are new in the last decade. In my younger highschool years -early 90's we would regularly ride our bookbags down the center of the escalators. Great fun.
