This is the kind of thing that's harmless and mildly annoying and tolerable at worst, but rather hilarious at best.

Kids will be kids. No being loud or being "excitable" is not a threat onto one's life (though if the loudness is from certain demographics it's often misinterpreted as one's physical safety being in danger). Kids will be kids stuff like this is harmless.

Happens everywhere. There's loud kids on Foggy bottom metro on weekend nights in the fall, there's loud kids at bethesda metro on weekend nights, etc etc.
Seriously? So many people disliked this? It was funny. They were just being kids entertaining themselves while on the Metro. We've got to get over ourselves and realize it's summer and kids/teens do take the metro! I liked it.
It was obnoxious. I can't imagine being on the metro and ever being entertained or amused by that. Not threatened, it's just loud and obnoxious. They're having fun for themselves, not for anyone else ... it's not like it's music or singing that could be construed as entertaining others. They're entertaining themselves at the sake of others. Not cool. When I get on the train I want to read my paper or deflate for the day, not get stuck in someone else's idea of a good time.
