Thanks, Metro, for Being You

From Dave: Epic WMATA parking job - note the empty reserved street space next to the WMATA car blocking the sidewalk.

You know that the driver in the first picture is only going to be inside for 5 minutes (Sarcasm)! Guess they had to get "prime" parking because they forgot their vest. I can't tell if the vehicle in the last picture has a vest in the window, but whatever the case maybe, at least they have "guaranteed prime parking" (Sarcasm again)!
I think there is a simple misunderstanding in the first photo. The WMATA employee got confused where he was – he thought he was in Europe, where it is common place to park on the sidewalk as there is no designated place to park on the street. Then again, as long as he puts his Jeter Union Vest on the steering wheel, he can park anywhere he wants - never mind any disabled patron who needs to use the sidewalk, or if a fire breaks out...not uncommon inside Metro stations.

More likely he or she thought it was a handicapped spot in the Brookland waiting area.

Ah, Metro's inexorable decline continues. At least they're hard at work naming new stations.
Hey,

That new 2012 Ford Explorer looks pretty sweet.

Someone must rank pretty high to get first crack as such a fine ride. They are likely entitled to many nice perks. Perhaps we are out of bounds judging them.

These photos parallel the overall culture of those in charge. If you worked long enough at metro, you would understand this culture better. Those selected to be in charge do not have to go by the same rules they have initiated.

In fact if those in charge violate the rules they are excused, covered up, or challenged. The rule is' Do as I say, not as I do!"
