A press conference to celebrate the 6 month process it took to fix an escalator... that is the epitome of FAIL...

Anyone else have no doubt Stessel is behind this? This just reeks of PR Fail....

In fairness, they did install a brand new "space-age" escalator. I rode it yesterday in fact. It worked. That's about all I can say about it.

Are these a-holes totally tone deaf? Candy CANES?

They f-up the escalators for months (years sometimes) leaving people with CANES to struggle up.

I'm suprised they didn't give out chocolate wheelchairs while they were at it...

I'm glad that Foggy Bottom has two "up" escalators in the morning for rush hour. Metro needs to reverse one of the three escaltors in the evening. There is always a long line of people trying to enter the system at FB and only a few people exiting. Common sense, WMATA.
