This photo apparently has been drifting around a bit in tattoo and "weird Japan" circles, but it washed up in our net yesterday. Two questions: If this is real, why? If this is fake, why?

I've always rather liked the design of subway maps…

But still, ew. Looks faked to me, but if it's not, imagine how that'll look when that skin loosens up…
No way thats real. Although, I was considering adding the metro lines to my DC tattoo.
