Geesh louise! Go Metro employee for being swift, calm and efficient. I am impressed. Idiot morons do not even realize how "moronically idiotic" they appeared. (And hoping it would end OK, I did crack up laughing.) Somebody needs a time out or a good ole fashioned spanking!
Loved the lady in blue! Smart person - get up quietly, smoothly flow to as far away as possible. Think she's ridden Metro before? :-)
why in god's name would anyone want to be the guy that faked this video? it wouldn't be a cool prank at all... or something you could impress people by showing them... unless he's a sociology major or something and wanted to test reaction to his tantrum. but i say it's real, too.
As the joke goes, the problem with "public" transportation is that they'll let anyone use it.
Excepting the drunk, everyone else in the video, especially Metro security (police?), acted as well as could be expected under the circumstances. I wasn't the lady in blue but I probably would have done the same thing.
i know this is an old thread, but i'm sure you're very confused as you're likely a frat boy. the answer is, because frat boys join secret societies to compensate for the insecurities around their manhood/sexualtiy. they dont have the market cornered though, so he may not be. but it's over 90% that he's a gwu frat boy
I've seen drunk fratboys and this is real. Looks like the blue shirt lady used the intercom in the back to call the driver. If so, good for her for getting involved, and I total agree that Handicapped Seat Guy was just waiting to bust a move on the idiot.
Metro handled it quite clammy and quite well and you could tell he didn't want to mess with the Metro guy. So if they kick you off the train can you still take another one or do you have to leave the station?
Funny but also disturbing. I can understand why people were uncomfortable. Good for the lady in the blue shirt using the intercom to alert the driver, and good for the Metro employee not taking any crap from that guy and making him get off the train.
Honestly, I felt bad for the brother. He was at least trying to manage the situation, but his brother was clearly beyond reason/sense at that point.
The procedure is to have the Station Manager escort them off the property because they could fall way side being drunk. This was not handled according to safety and procedures.
Check out my ORIGINAL UPLOAD and please upload remixes in my comments, that would be awesome! BTW this was my first video upload EVER :D http://www.youtube.com/user/lxr200
I think it's important to note that this guy most likely has some sort of developmental disability. Everyone here is calling him an idiot and a drunk, and uploading remixes, but from what I've seen, as a mental health professional, he's clearly developmentally disabled, and deserves our respect, not our ridicule.
Jess is 100% correct. This guy has a disability he lives with every day, not just on this Metro train. His brother is doing the best he can in a job he earned just because they're brothers. Mocking the mentally disabled makes *you* small, not the disabled guy.
Over 700,000 of you take Metro every day. Whether it's a simple tweet from the front lines, a funny photo or story or something more substantial, tell us. Got an idea of something we should do? Let us know. More than half of this blog has been written by riders just like you.

This is one of the few cases where I think I would actually use the emergency exit door to get into a new car.
