Metro Delays and Fare Hikes have you Sagging?

UPDATE: Thanks to Ted (pic above), you get an idea of just how many spam emails were sent!

Yet another happy fare increase day!

We got several reports yesterday that Metro's e-alerts had been hacked and the above was sent out to subscribers with the subject "rn@lists-wmata.com V|AGRA ® Official Seller -12%."

The typo is a dead giveaway that it might have actually come from WMATA.

Viagra Soft, Cialis Soft? Oxymoronic, no?

Also, who knew Soma was a real drug?

Is Tramadol something to pop before hopping on a streetcar?

Perhaps it is a promo for new vending machines coming soon to a kiosk near you! ;-)
Tramadol is a pain medication, so it might actually be something worth taking before getting onto Metro.

Now biking to work every day. I'm not going back.
Did anyone else receive a blank Metro Alert with "Stop sending harassing messages. No more emails from you" in the subject line? It was oddly creepy.
I got that message too, send from their phone it said. I'm surprised there hasn't been more outrage on the internet about this.
Metro says on their website that the spamming has been fixed as of yesterday, however....I just received another spam from WMATA..."Welcome to Heaven".... or maybe it's not spam...maybe I died on the stupid red line this morning and I just don't realize it????!!!!
