We Get It

"If you're changing at Fort Totten, be prepared to master the 5Ds of Metro: Dodge, Duck, Dip, Dive, and Dodge! If you can dodge a cone, you can catch a train."

East Falls Church bus "shelter." Another cone would have been nice.

@KaeSaid @unsuckdcmetro This has been here for at least the 6 months I've been using this station. #wmata #redline #takoma http://twitpic.com/2iao83

I definitely transfer from Red to Green at Ft. Totten everyday and I've never noticed those cones.

Fail.
Not sure why those aren't showing up.

That first pic looks rather like Christmas. Wonder if they can light em up for the holidays?

Then again, perhaps its more of a photo shoot of little orange aliens waiting patiently for a ride downtown. (The Malevolent Trashcan is the brains behind the world take-over of course.)
Love the last paragraph from the WaPo story on the Green Line assault: "Raney [a witness] said that he did not see any police officers while he was at the station and that no one took his name as a witness."

And the commenters over there are beating up on Metro employees for having the passengers move the victim.

Love that I get to ride the Green Line every day.
Reminds me of all the times I'd go to a public pool in DC and parts of the pool would be out of service, the diving boards roped off. I thought they'd close the whole pool if they could!

I think every person who stands on the left side of the escalator, forces the doors open while they are closing, or sneezes into their hand and then grabs a pole should be forced to run between all of these 10 times as punishment.
They must get a fantastic price on that tile, because it's broken all the time, and it's about the slipperiest substance on earth when wet.
