Meet Service Pit Bull

Here he/she is. You may remember him/her from this post.

@crackacraig recalled seeing the dog in a sweater, and @BRAatDC said the dog was well behaved.

Thanks to @BRAatDC for the photo.

WTF!

He's super cute!
All of the service dogs I have ever seen do not sit on the seats. They tend to sit next to their owner's feet in a submissive manner. I think this dog is far from being a service dog.

sorry Matty, that was meant to be a thumbs up.

Someone roll down the window, so he can stick his head out.
you mean slide the window?
I'm inclined to agree with my esteemed colleague here.
The little feller looks hungry.

I'd totally sit next to that little dude. He looks much more pleasant and engaging than most seatmates, and I bet it would keep the perverts at bay.

Me too! I'll be he could devour a track suit (and it's occupant) in one gulp!
Honestly, I don't care if well behaved dogs ride the metro. I also hate misconceptions about pit bulls.

They aren't misconceptions about pitbulls. Pitbulls are prone to violence. 90+% of dogs that look like pitbulls aren't full/pure pitbulls. You're the ignorant one with misconceptions. Clear up your ignorance with a veterinary expert or stfu.

Unsuck! You should write a children's book starring this puppy who rides the metro and the bus! You could teach kids ALL about the horrors of Metro! And about the good sides as well. I would buy it!
I <3 service pitbull. he's the nicest bus driver in metro.
The woman that owns the dog was on the news, she has him because she is depressed, I didn't know there was a service dog for that. I say its all BS.

Holy crap, can you say high maintenance? I pity the man that marries this woman.

"I'm from Montgomery County where I went to private school. I had to move to PG County for college, and it's a /public/ school! ::gasp:: I need a prescription puppy to make it feel more like MoCo!"

Who wrote the prescription? Dr. Nick Riviera from the Simpsons?
She is pretty hot though. And the crazy ones are always the best in bed.

Well, no one will deny the owner has a mental illness.
A physician that I know has a service bird for depression. It's a macaw. He started carrying it around work after his son passed away, so this doesn't surprise me.

He doesn't take his bird on the bus, though.
Met the. Owner the son and the Dog a few months back on the redline. The dog was very well behaved. They even had paperwork and everything.

Awwwww. He thinks he's people!
I do not want animals on public transportation with me. It's unsanitary enough with all the sick and non-showered people that ride. I don't want dogs rubbing their private parts on seats I am to sit on!
Service animals are acceptable, barely, but they cannot sit on human seats! They should be docile and only really pay attention to the people they are 'servicing'. Please eject this 'cute' puppy from our human trains/busses.

I would rather a dog sat there then some other people that ride the metro and bus daily.
Seems to be textbook DC pretense for a long term disability "break" from work. If you can get 9 paid years off of work for a dislocated ankle that didn't require surgery, imagine getting "hit" by a bus.
Did anyone else notice that they interviewed her in front of the homeless shelter at 2nd and D NW?
I am pretty sure I saw that dog and its owner this morning at Greenbelt station. They get around!
